Professional-grade hard bi-cellular polyethylene backer rod designed for filling expansion joints, control joints, and gaps prior to sealant application in concrete, masonry, and construction projects. Manufactured by NOMACO with HBR closed-cell construction in hard formulation and gray color, available in three diameter and length combinations to suit various joint sizes and project scales. This hard, closed-cell polyethylene foam backer rod serves as backing material for elastomeric and other cold-applied sealants, helping sealant assume the optimum shape to prolong service life while acting as a barrier to prevent sealant flow-through. The non-absorbent foam will not absorb water, controls joint depth, prevents three-sided adhesion, and reduces sealant consumption while ensuring optimal joint performance. Available in 7/8", 5/8", and 3/8" diameters with corresponding lengths optimized for different project requirements.
